Camp History

Camp Kanarondack or "Camp K" as it is affectionately called was originally a family operated, small SugarBush to produce maple syrup. In 2011, as new owners, we decided to keep producing maple syrup but also wanted to create a HORSE CAMP so others could enjoy the Horse Trails at Otter Creek.

We built a comfy, 4 stall (recently upgraded to 5 stalls), open style barn with individual attached paddocks and upgraded the old camp. There's a picture book in the camp showing the transformation to HORSE CAMP from the original single wide trailer.

In 2017 we replaced the trailer with a "built from scratch" new camp with all the comforts of home. The most used feature is the large screened in porch that overlooks the barn and paddock. Take a look at the photos below to see what we're talking about!

Other Info

Camp K is easily accessible with large or small horse trailers as it is right off of Erie Canal Rd with a big turn-around parking area. As such it is also a bit more private than the other horse camps.

We're sure your horses will enjoy traveling over the sandy Otter Creek Horse Trails and coming back to their roomy accommodations while they await tomorrow's ride.
